Whole horse health & Cadaver Hoof trimming Course for horse owners 3rd & 4th of November 2018 

Date : Saturday & Sunday the 3rd and 4th November 2018

Location : Stonegarthside Hall Penton, CA6 5QL Carlisle, Cumbria

Time : 9 am to 5 pm both days

About :  

The course will look at what is required to maintain a healthy barefoot horse, looking at whole horse health and focusing on the equine hoof.

Covered in the two day course:

The importance Diet and nutrition and effect on the hooves
Environment & Movement
Transitioning to barefoot
Hoof Anatomy and dissections
Cadaver demo trimming and students practical
Hoof boots
Demo Trim on live horse - Students observe
Trimming tools and tool handling and safety.

The Price is £175 for the whole weekend including lunch on both days.

If you would like to stay over at the Hall it will cost £25 for the Saturday night. Please bring your own bedding and towels etc....

We will book a restaurant for the Saturday evening meal. This is not included in the price of the course. The house is also fully self catering so people can bring their own food too.

Places for the two days are limited to 10 people and there are only 7 spaces for accommodation, this can be up to 9 if people are willing share a double bed i.e. a couple.

There are some contacts for bed and breakfasts which are listed on the booking form.

9am -1pm - An informative presentation on the variety of factors that contribute to the equines hoof form and function, including the digestive system,nutrition, stress, the environment, pain the equines body and conformation and how to make small changes that can ultimately make a big difference to barefoot horses. (with breaks when needed)
1pm -2pm Lunch
2pm – 3pm equine chiropractor Mary Young
3pm – 5pm Cadaver demo trim - students observe, then practical 

7.30 pm evening meal at a local restaurant 

This day will focus on teaching horse owners what a trim should look like. It will teach horse owners what can safely be trimmed off and what must be left to allow the horse to have a sound functioning hoof.
9am – 10am A refresh demo trim on a cadaver.
10am – 11am Cadaver practice 
11am – 1pm safe tool handling demo followed by more practice on cadaver and a look at true flare and false flare and the difference. (should flare be removed?)
1pm – 2pm lunch
2pm – 3pm A demo trim on a live horse, safety under the horse.
3pm – 3.30pm break
3.30 – 5pm more cadaver trimming and safe shoe pulling demo.

Introduction to Energy fields/work and Animal CommunicationWith Monique Ros
 October 2018
Monique has worked communicating and helping animals for the last several years all over Europe. Monique is passionate about sharing with people her understanding of energy fields/work and how this affects our relationships with our horses and other animals. Monique currently lives and works from Portugal where you can go and stay for a spiritual retreat or learn 1:1 how to communicate with animals. Monique has lovely heard of horses of which she has rescued and nursed back to health throughout the years and has four beautiful dogs that she shares her home with. I'm very excited to have Monique in the UK on this rare occasion. 


  Monique will be offering private Consultations to people and their animals. These will be £30.00 per consultation plus fuel, please when inquiring send me your post code so i can work out the fuel charge.

On the first evening evening Monique will give a presentation explaining what she does and will explain briefly energy fields and her work, this will be 7.30 to 9pm and £10 per person light refreshments will be provided.

October 2018: 9.30 – 5 pm 1st part of communicating with animals Part 1: Will cover What is energy, how do we recognise it, Energy Fields, learn to recognise your own energy field and that of another being, and learning to deal with it!
From 9.30 am to 5 pm £95.00 including lunch, coffee, tea, cake and biscuits

October 2018: 2nd part of communicating with animals Part 1: will cover Perception, Telepathy and how to Translate them into a language we can understand. 9:30 am to 5 pm £95.00 including lunch, coffee, tea, cake and biscuits
If you would like to take part in the whole weekend Friday to Sunday its £175.00 per person.

There is accommodation onsite however there is only room for 7 people and this includes sharing a room there are only 3 single rooms available so please book asap if you would like accommodation. The cost of this £25 per night please bring your own breakfast.
